Katlyn’s journey began with a camera in eighth grade and an early love for capturing moments. But like many stories of young ambition, life happened fast. She sold that first camera to buy a prom dress. Years later, after becoming a mother while still in high school, she felt the pull again—and this time, it stuck.
By tenth grade, she had a new camera and a new reason to shoot. She began offering free prom shoots to build her skills and confidence. Those first sessions sparked something real. In late 2017, Katlyn officially launched Assorted Images, determined to turn her passion into something lasting.
What started as a young woman chasing her spark has since evolved into a fast-growing photography business, rooted in heart, hustle, and word-of-mouth.
Building a Brand from the Ground Up
For years, Katlyn relied on referrals and social presence to attract clients. But recently, she took it a step further. With the help of a mentor and a lot of long nights, Katlyn taught herself how to build her own website—spending three months learning, editing, and designing it herself using Photobiz.
That new site has already started generating results. Combined with the strategic use of her Google Business Profile and a few TikTok videos that caught fire, Katlyn is now seeing inquiries from clients outside her usual network—even pulling interest from cities like Columbia.

Katlyn has a gift: she makes people feel confident in front of the camera. Whether it’s a senior shoot, a maternity session, or a fashion editorial, her energy is warm, encouraging, and real.
