Tucked away in the upstate of South Carolina, something special is rolling through the streets—turning heads, raising glasses, and redefining what it means to serve. Meet Proud To Serve: a veteran-owned, family-powered mobile bar and hospitality experience, run out of a beautifully restored 1955 Ford panel wagon—complete with seven working taps. From weddings to car shows to downtown festivals, this crew isn’t just pouring drinks—they’re crafting experiences.
A Legacy of Service—Now on Tap
Behind Proud To Serve is Ray Rucker, a man whose life has always centered around service. A native South Carolinian, Ray has spent the last 15 years serving his community as a teacher, interventionist, and instructional coach. These days, he brings that same passion, discipline, and heart to the streets—delivering unforgettable moments from behind the bar of a classic showpiece on wheels.
His wife and business partner Kylee, is equally impressive. A United States Marine Corps veteran, Kylee served in Iraq in 2005 and deployed again in 2007 with the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit. Since 2010, she’s continued her service as a dedicated educator, inspiring the next generation with her strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment to community.
Andrew served 14 years in the U.S. Marine Corps, with deployments to Iraq in 2003 and 2005 and stations in Okinawa, 29 Palms, and Eugene, Oregon. His wife, Laura, supported their family through it all—a Marine Corps wife and a Licensed Practical Nurse with over 20 years of service to her community. Together, they represent strength, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication.
Together, they’re the heartbeat of Proud To Serve—combining military precision, Southern hospitality, and a love for people into a one-of-a-kind mobile experience.
“We wanted to build something memorable. Something that gives people that wow moment the second they walk up,” Ray shared.
And wow, does it deliver. The vintage truck is a showstopper, drawing crowds before the taps even start flowing.
Grill Masters: From Cold Beer to Backyard Comebacks

But the Ruckers didn’t stop with craft beverages. Ray also runs Grill Masters, a premium mobile grill cleaning service. Whether your grill has survived a dozen tailgates or is just looking a little tired, Grill Masters brings it back to life—ready for your next cookout, gathering, or spontaneous summer evening.
“We’re not just cleaning grills. We’re helping folks make memories again—outside, with their people, doing what they love,” Ray says.
It’s more than maintenance. It’s restoring a space for connection.
More Than Booze: Mocktails, & Community
In a world shifting toward mindfulness and inclusivity, Proud To Serve is leading the way with non-alcoholic options—like craft sodas, mocktails, and more for chill, booze-free vibes. Whether it’s a kid-friendly birthday bash or a sober-curious crowd, Ray and Kylee are proving that great experiences don’t always need alcohol—just great people, great energy, and great design.
