The Ten Oh Eight Co. captures legacies.

In a region saturated with trends and templated events, this creative force based just outside Greenville, South Carolina, is building something entirely different: a tailored, immersive, beautifully branded experience—backed by a team that believes every couple’s story deserves to be told with intention, excellence, and heart.

At the helm of operations and brand development is Alison, a quiet powerhouse whose background in marketing and events has helped shape not just two beloved businesses—but a movement.

Where It All Began: A Venue With History and a Wedding That Sparked It All

The story begins in a lovingly restored 1923 schoolhouse in Travelers Rest. It’s where Aaron and Shawn, the creative duo behind 1008, were married. That moment—intimate, personal, real—became the inspiration for everything that followed.

What started as a dream of offering all-inclusive wedding services—photo, video, venue, and planning—has since evolved into two sister brands:

  • 1008: A full-service photography and videography studio specializing in wedding stories and lifestyle sessions.
  • The Schoolhouse Venue: A charming, character-rich space with history in its bones and hospitality in its heart.

Both businesses are distinct, yet inextricably linked—branded clearly but built as one ecosystem. And at the center of it all is The Ten Oh Eight Co., quietly orchestrating the systems, marketing, and strategy that make it all feel effortless.

Turning Chaos Into Clarity

Alison didn’t set out to run multiple businesses. But with Aaron and Shawn focused on the creative side, it quickly became clear the business needed someone to anchor the operations, shape the strategy, and keep the vision clean and scalable.

What followed was a natural fit. With a background in both marketing and weddings, Alison returned to the industry—not just to help—but to elevate everything.

From social strategy to CRM systems, from luxury positioning to lead routing, The Ten Oh Eight Co. now handles the very heartbeat of the operation.

Two Seasons, One Story: A Business Built on Balance

One of the most fascinating aspects of The Ten Oh Eight Co.’s work is its rhythm. The two brands—1008 and Schoolhouse—flow in opposite seasons, each supporting the other like a perfectly timed inhale and exhale.

Spring and fall? That’s wedding and lifestyle session season for 1008.
Late winter and early summer? It’s venue tour and booking season for Schoolhouse.

Together, the brands maintain year-round momentum, allowing the team to keep creating without ever burning out.

A Shift Toward Luxury—Not for Status, But for Story

Alison shared something powerful during our conversation: the decision to move intentionally toward luxury clientele isn’t just about price—it’s about storytelling.

Higher-budget weddings bring more room for design, more thoughtful moments, and more visually rich materials—which in turn generate stronger marketing content and deeper emotional connection.

Over the next 3–5 years, the goal is to move toward 80–90% luxury weddings—while still staying rooted in the values that brought them here: authenticity, warmth, and real connection.

The Brand That Markets Itself

One of The Ten Oh Eight Co.’s greatest advantages? They never struggle to find content. Every weekend, their cameras capture engagement sessions, family shoots, brand sessions, and weddings—each one a visual library of memories and marketing gold.

But what makes their strategy so strong isn’t just the imagery. It’s the messaging.

We lead with the story, then find the visuals to match,” Alison explained.

This message-first, image-second approach keeps their brand voice consistent and emotionally resonant. And their community notices. About 70% of all bookings come directly through their website—a testament to smart SEO, beautiful design, and an experience that feels clear, elevated, and inviting.

Looking Ahead: Systems, Automation, and the Next Chapter

With growth comes complexity. And right now, Alison is focused on automating processes and freeing up time—especially as Aaron and Shawn’s family responsibilities evolve.

Their current CRM, Honeybook, works well, but has limitations. They’ve already started looking into monday.com and exploring the idea of custom software, potentially designed in-house to give them exactly what they need.

And they’re open—to conversations, to improvement, and to scaling with intention. That’s what makes them such a remarkable team. They’re not just building a business. They’re building something lasting.

The Ten Oh Eight Co. doesn’t chase trends.
They create timeless experiences.
They don’t just book weddings—they build trust.
And they don’t just run a company—they run a vision.

With every couple they serve, every image they create, and every system they refine behind the scenes, they’re showing what’s possible when artistry and operational excellence come together in harmony.

And that? That’s the kind of story we’ll remember. To book your all-inclusive wedding package, click here
